Nick Gruy is a vested Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Sentinel Capital. Nick promotes business development by expanding and fostering the firm’s equity and financing relationships. He is intimately involved in all transactions of the firm, directly managing each project’s capital stack and corporate governance as well as loan compliance. In addition, Nick oversees the asset management for each of the firm’s projects, while maintaining investor communication and reporting.
With 14-years of commercial real estate experience, Nick has been directly involved in over $1 Billion of real estate transactions.
Nick holds a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York and an M.B.A. from Rice University in Houston. He is a Licensed Texas Real Estate Salesperson and sits on the Board of Directors for Harris County Municipal Utility District #588.
Nick is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Columbia MSRED Alumni Association, and Rice Business Partners. He is a supporter of the Kinder Institute of Urban Planning, the Baker Institute of Public Policy, and he sits on the Young Associates council of the Houston Symphony.
When not working, Nick enjoys collecting raw minerals, hunting, fishing, and motorcycle mechanics. Nick, his wife, and three sons reside in West Houston.
