Prior to founding Sentinel Capital, Greg was a Senior Vice President with Moody Rambin Interests, Inc. While at Moody Rambin, he started a business unit that evolved into their Investor Services Group and was responsible for institutional investors such as State Farm Insurance, TIAA-CREF, Cigna, and more.
Prior to Moody Rambin, Greg was a Vice President with Advantage Real Estate Services (ARES), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York (MONY). As one of the initial team members, he played a critical part in establishing ARES as a property management company that grew to comprise 28 MM SF of commercial properties within a two-year period. In addition, he served as the National Construction Manager for ARES with direct responsibility for over $100 MM annual capital projects throughout the United States. ARES provided construction services for MONY, OREO, and other owned assets.
During his career, Greg has worked with clients on understanding market conditions, asset valuation, and strategic asset planning. He has analyzed note purchases, structured loans, and joint venture agreements to best meet strategic asset plans and corresponding return expectations. Greg has managed multiple projects simultaneously and frequently interfaces with outside consultants (attorneys, engineers, contractors, property managements, financial institutions) in various stages of an asset’s acquisition, keeping the asset on track with its strategic plan and/or through disposition.
Greg earned a Bachelor’s of Business in Finance from the University of Houston in 1982. He is a licensed Real Estate broker in the state of Texas and a member of the National Multi-Family Housing Council (NMHC), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a Trustee on the Fort Bend Economic Development Council, and National Association of Realtors and Houston Association of Realtors.
